Dear Members.
If someone collapsed on the bowls green, tennis court, in the clubhouse or even at home, would you know what to do?
We have had our AED Defibrillator for 5 years now and it is long time since any of us had a refresher course, and of course we now have quite a few new members since then,
It is with this in mind we are going to run a special one evening event to address the matter.
Rugby First Responders, a charity, is going to give practical demonstrations on what to do if someone is in need of AED, CPR or is Choking.
The course is restricted to 30 people. It will take place at the Grange club on Tuesday 14th March starting at 7pm. It is designed to give a comprehensive guide to resuscitation and automated external defibrillation (defibrillator)
The cost is £3 per head and this fee will include a glass of wine or Prosecco (served after the event!) and some nibbles. You will also each receive a booklet to take away to act as a quick reference guide for future years.
To book your place on this course please contact me via this email address or Brenda Beere. It will be on a “First come, First served” basis. It is open to all members.
If we are over subscribed we will endeavour to run another course in the near future
Please book your place at your earliest convenience as we need to establish numbers to guarantee the go-ahead. We will also run a raffle in aid of the Rugby First Responders. They are a charity and depend on donations to keep their valuable services running. If you can bring a raffle prize it will be much appreciated.
This course might not only save the life of a fellow member, you can also use them in any life situation
Finally we have been asked to provide a flipchart (with stand) or a Whiteboard for the evening. If you know someone who can lend us one for the event, it would be extremely helpful.
